Possibilities in Pastel honors Brooke Allison who has educated both artists and our local community about the beauty and permanence of pastels as a serious art medium. For many years she has taught a Possibilities in Pastel class at the Dunedin Fine Art Center
Juror
Bill Renc, a 1970 graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fl is a professional artist and co-owner with his wife Linda of the Painted Fish Gallery in Dunedin. He is founding member of the Professional Association of Visual Artist (PAVA). His drawings, paintings and intaglio prints have won numerous awards at juried art festival from Florida to Midwest. Bill currently works in both oils and watercolors and has concentrated on the Florida landscape. He co-authored and co-illustrated the book At Water’s Edge: The birds of Florida.
By commission, Bill has created original artworks to commemorate special events such as the City of Dunedin’s Centennial, Abilities of Florida’s Annual Wine Testing& Action, Clearwater Folk Arts Festival, Taste of Palm Harbor, and St. Petersburg’s 2005 First Night Celebration. Bill has also served as judge/juror for a number of art events, including the Miniature Art Society of Florida, the Palm Harbor Art Fair and Several exhibits at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

The Octagon Art Center is open:
Weekdays 9:30 am to 1Pm
Sundays: 10:00 am – 11:00 am and noon to 1:00 pm
Entry Fee
Current Member: $20 for one painting or $25 fro two.
Non-member: $30 fro one painting or $35 for two.
Entrants may become a member at any time by paying yearly dues.
Sales
Paintings may or may not be for sale. All sales will be handle at the Unitarian Universalist of Clearwater. The artist will receive 70% of the sale price; Unitarian Universalist will receive 30% as commission percentage. At the close of the show, artist will be paid for any works sold. (The Pastel Society of Tampa Bay and the Unitarian Universalist of Clearwater are not responsible for damage of theft.)
Specifications
All original two dimensional works may be considered. Paintings must be worked in the pastel medium. Mixed media work will be accepted, however, 70% of the work must be done in pastel. All paintings must be suitable and professionally framed and ready for hanging. No painting may exceed 72” in any one dimension.
Eligibility
This exhibition is open to all artist 18 years or older. Each artist may enter 2 pieces of art
