3 day Plein air pastel workshop in Crescent Beach

Hello Tampa Bay Pastel Society members,

I wanted to send you some information about a pastel workshop we're having in conjunction with this year's Crescent Beach Paint Out. This is the fifth year for our paint out and we wanted to do something different. So, we've added a series of pastel, watercolor and oil workshops for artists of varing levels. One of those workshops is a 3-day plein air pastel class led by Christophe Cardot. The workshop will be held October 25-27, 2009 in Crescent Beach - just south of St. Augustine, FL. The price is $275 and includes admission to our Artist Retreat functions as well. For more information, you can refer your membes to our website - www.crescentbeachpaintout.com.

If they have not already registered, they should mail or fax their registration prior to that date. See the IAPS website to download the instructions and registration form, and also to check on which optional activities are now filled. www.pastelinternational.com If they miss the April 3 deadline, they may register onsite in Albuquerque, registration fees will be $5 higher onsite.

BANQUET - Tickets for the Saturday night banquet may be ordered with registration, or if someone has already registered and wishes to add banquet tickets, they may do so up to April 3 by sending me an email at websterw@patriot.net with their confirmed registration number, the number of tickets they need, choice of menu – beef/chicken/vegetarian – if they registered by credit card we can use the same card, if by check they can mail a check for the appropriate amount - $49 per meal. Banquet tickets may be purchased in Albuquerque on Thursday afternoon, and possibly on Friday morning, subject to availability.

PRESIDENT’S DINNER MEETING – will be on Friday evening and each society may have their president or the president’s representative attend free of charge. Others may attend and pay for the meal. The information is attached – if you haven’t already signed up, please do so soon.
